Yoga is the relationship that is built between the body, the mind and the breath. Yoga is creating space, free from obstacles in the body and mind and will assist us to live a happier healthier life. Yoga is freedom, release and surrender. Sue's goal as a Yoga teacher is to be here to help others find this release so that they can comfortably and competently move their through life.
Asana are done with full awareness of the body, mind and breath, paying particular attention to alignment and breathing to relax the body. This integrated class will consist of foundational postures, pranayama, relaxation and meditation.
Relaxing in the poses for a longer period of time, with the support of props, without strain or pain will provide physical, mental and emotional relaxation, rejuvenation and peace. As you still the body, the mind will become still and allow you to access your deeper wisdom.
What a typical class will look and feel like
❖ Taking the time to move into the postures deeply with full attention, emphasising quality of the postures and focus on breath
❖ Reminding students to observe their limitations and stay within the edge of their capacity and to relax completely without strain or stress
❖ Students guided through every stage of the asana
❖ Each class finishes with a beautiful Yoga Nidra relaxation to rejuvenate mind, body and spirit
❖ Learn the art of breathing for relaxation to take into everyday life
❖ Building inner strength and focus through meditation
Yoga is a journey of the self, through the self, to the self,
