26th - 28th Sept. The first immersion is over the long weekend in September. This is a philosophic and experiential exploration of the three states of consciousness being waking, dreaming, dreamless sleep, and turiya, the mystical underlying 4th state which underlies the three.
Turiya Meditation Immersion Drawing on the teachings of the inspirational wisdom revealed in the Taittirīya & Mandukya Upanishads, the Yoga Sutras, the Tantra Loka and the Tripura Rahasya, this training introduces you to the lesser known, more esoteric disciplines of yoga, which are relevant and meaningful to the modern practitioner. Teaching Methods You'll learn the yogic concepts and methods which bring about an understanding of the 3 states of consciousness and which open the way to an experience of what lies beyond. You'll also learn to practically apply this knowledge to enhance your own experience of yoga; relationships with self and others; and the confidence and ability to teach and share with others. Importantly, you also learn how to communicate clearly and with compassion, how to safely facilitate individual and group meditation sessions for varying demographics; how to be sensitive and supportive of student's reactions and processes; and how to teach and share confident in your knowledge which arises from personal experience and practice. Please note, some experience of meditation and/or yoga teaching is required to participate in these immersions. Suitable for yoga practitioners and teachers wishing to deepen their experience of yogic meditation and gaining confidence in teaching and guiding others. Also suitable for yogic practitioners interested in furthering their knowledge and experience. |
“Through meditation we can train our minds in such a way that negative qualities are abandoned and positive qualities are generated and enhanced.” |

The healing and rejuvenative power of being amongst the trees |
Light
We meditate to keep the purifying flame alight within our awakened hearts. We listen with quiet minds to the messages of surrender, love and grace which flow into and through us. This sets the tone and mood for our practice - delving directly and deeply into the spiritual yogic traditions which deepen our connection with our own inner nature, and the healing and peaceful forest around us. |
Darkness
Within each of us, there is always an interplay of both 'darkness' and 'light'. The practices of yoga lead us through these polarities to discover the brilliant, unwavering inner light which is our soul. We can't deny the darkness within the world and our own hearts. We learn the yogic practices which help us overcome inner and external obstacles, offering those aspects we wish to shed or transform to the light of our own divine consciousness. |
Grace
Without the distraction and stress of the constant thinking, doing, and acting which characterises our everyday lives we discover a silent centre, where we discern a deeper, spiritual presence. Immersing our mind and consciousness here within our centre we awaken to grace which powerfully illuminates and transforms our lives. We return to our lives with a lighter heart, with flow rather than resistance to the ever changing nature of life. |
