connection, ceremony & celebration.
31st Dec - 1 Jan Celebrate the transition into 2023 in a meaningful and joyful way. New year’s eve is a profound and memorable moment of human connection - collectively we reflect on what has been, and put forward our shared intent for wellbeing and healing for the year ahead. When this is consciously shared, the energy and power is amplified.
This special Sound Silence Stillness evening program includes yoga, meditation, afternoon tea, then a traditional Havan under the setting sun and rising moon (Vedic fire ceremony for releasing past hurts and karma), followed by a sumptuous celebratory dinner. Back in our beautiful candlelit shala we'll formulate our individual and shared intentions for healing and life-purpose. You'll be lulled into a relaxed state of bliss by our sound healer/musician with crystal bowls, chimes, gongs and more. We end with meditation to deeply embed our intentions through the layers of body, mind, emotions and soul.

Sound Silence Stillness
Leave behind the stresses and worries of everyday life... Regardless of circumstances and the stresses of everyday life, peace, calm and contentment are possible for all of us. Sometimes the solution is to simply stop trying to fix things, striving for the perfect life, or waiting for others or the world to right itself. Each of us has the capacity to retreat, for a short while, to nurture and replenish ourselves with nourishing spiritual practices to regain perspective and connect again with our inner self and life purpose. We're then able to emerge, replenished with awakened life-force, energy and clarity to go forward in life with peace in our hearts and joy in our step. |
an evening of peace
The Sound Silence Stillness retreat program engages the senses through the beauty of the environment, healing sounds of nature and a guided sound journey with healing instruments. Even the food served is carefully balanced and prepared to nourish and nurture. You'll attune to the subtler sensations and fluctuations of mind through the Raja Yoga practices of asana, pranayama and mantra meditation - leading to a naturally quiet, transcendent and blissful state. It is here that you rest, before journeying deeper to balance and access your healing potential, shining the inner light on your unique gifts and true life purpose. |

It's difficult to put into words how magical this place really is. From your first visit you feel welcome and safe in the beautiful yurt. Mandy and Robert are such warm and welcoming people and their extensive knowledge of yoga has helped me no end. I recently attended the one day silent retreat, it was a beautiful day of healing. The yoga session in the morning was enjoyable, I loved the meditation by the creek and the food was delicious! I thoroughly recommend Kookaburra yoga for anyone trying to heal or find themselves you are in the very best hands. It is definitely my favourite place to chill!

My first time to Kookaburra creek yoga for the Sound Silence Stillness yoga and meditation retreat. It was amazing! I've done yoga for a long time but have never been taught meditation before, and wanted to start learning and this day was perfect. The sound healing session was amazing, and the day also includes a lovely morning tea and lunch, in beautiful tranquil surroundings. I can't wait to go back!
