- During the training you’ll receive many unpublished notes and lectures which are the culmination of decades’ study and work. Any notes distributed or taken during the training are for your personal use and to inform your own learning. They are not to be published or distributed without permission from the authors and acknowledgment of the authors.
Conduct
- All participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and appropriately, and to honour and respect the space, other participants and most importantly the facilitators. Anyone disruptive may be asked to leave the training.
- Kookaburra Creek is a peaceful and sacred place. There is a strict no meat, smoking, alcohol or drugs policy. Please do not bring these items onto the property or consume them anywhere on the property (including outdoors).
Payment
- A non refundable $450 deposit is required to book this training. The deposit is to be paid with your Application and confirms your place. Applications received without a deposit are not confirmed. The deposit is your commitment to attend, and is non-refundable if you cancel.
- Balance of payment should then be paid prior to course commencement.
- Payment plans are available at an additional cost of $100. Terms are 6 months; 9 months; 12 months. If any payments on a payment plan default then an administrative charge of $40 per defaulted payment may apply.
- Extended Payment plans of 18 months.or 24 months are available by special request. An additional $200 cost applies. If any payments on a payment plan default then an administrative charge of $40 per defaulted payment may apply.
- Unless otherwise agreed, the program must be paid for within by the graduation date. Graduation certificates are only issued once full payment has been received.
- Residential Retreat: accommodation and food is an additional cost as per the Payment Schedule and depending on options chosen.
- Graduation Certificates are issued on finalisation of course fees.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellations received before the training commencement will be eligible for a refund minus the $450 non-refundable deposit.
- There is a cooling off period of 4 months. Cancellations up to 4 months are allowed. You will be required to pay prorata fees for the modules studied, calculated at $420 per module and the deposit. Therefore if you withdraw after Module 1 and before Module 2 $870 is payable by you, if you withdraw before Module 3 $1290 is payable, if you withdraw before module 4 is $1710. Withdrawals after Module 4 are liable for payment of the full fees.
- If you withdraw within 4 months and you have paid fees upfront, then your refund will be calculated on the above formula. If you are on a payment plan then refunds will not be issued and you are still liable for the pro-rata fees on the above formula.
- If you withdraw and depending on your circumstances, you may transfer the unused balance of your payment to a future training, or another course or program with Kookaburra Yoga on compassionate grounds.
- Certificates will not be issued to anyone cancelling early.
- If this program is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed prior to its commencement due to unforeseen circumstances or any other event that renders performance of this training impracticable, illegal or impossible, then you will receive full refund. However, Kookaburra Yoga will not be responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration or cancellation/postponement of this training.
Graduation Policy
To graduate at 550 Hours you will need:
- 100% attendance at weekend modules and retreat. This can be in-person, attending online via zoom; a hybrid of both. If any modules or sections of modules are missed then you must watch them once they are uploaded, and mark as complete on the course website. Provide a written summary of videos and content, if you were not present live online or in-studio.
- 100% attendance and completion of tasks at workshops conducted during the weekend modules. If you didn’t participate live or in person, complete the tasks and provide a written summary of your work, experience and findings, or a video or or audio recording of yourself.
- To complete and pass all the online quizzes, final exam, in-studio assessments during reviews (Pass mark is 90%)
- to complete the practicum and mentoring session (prepare and teach a 60 minute class)
- To attend all Wednesday evening practicum classes (instudio or zoom). Comment on each of these in your reflections.
- Participate in all in-studio workshops (if you are not in attendance, complete at home and provide a written summary and submit associated worksheets)
- to practice what you learn regularly at home. Submit monthly Reflections demonstrating your practice and insights
- To do all the required reading.
- submit all assignments. Amend and resubmit if your mentor has advised you they are not correct or adequately completed.
- to complete all the Dynamic Yoga Anatomy worksheets and assessments, and 100% attendance at all 5 anatomy workshops (Zoom). If not attending live provide a written summary of each of the 5 workshops and submit.
- 100% attendance at the Mid-Year Review and Module 12 Final Review. Pass philosophy review and written quiz. If you are not present live, then submit written quiz, 2 minute video of yourself following the review. You are still required to contribute to the Fina Review - Live Community Event in some capacity.
- Submit completed Mid Year Review Checklist and Final Review Checklist.
- course fees to be paid in full (unless otherwise agreed to finalise payment later).
- Upon graduation you can register as a Level 1 Yoga Teacher. With 5 years consistent teaching experience (5000 hours) you can register as an Intermediate Level 2 Teacher without any further training. Senior First Aid Certificate and Insurance required.
