2016: the year in your words2016 was an incredible year. This year 1150 people joined us at Kookaburra. We conducted 800 yoga and meditation classes; hosted 7 one day retreats; 5 workshops; a World Meditation Day event; 20 five week beginners yoga and meditation courses; a long weekend Yoga & Hiking Retreat; and our 2 Week Journey to the Source Pilgrimmage to the source of the Ganges River in the Himalayas. Thank you for being part of this wonderful community. Your reviews... Thank you for such a peaceful and rejuvenating day on the silent retreat day in August. It was just what my soul needed. You both spoke so elequently and created such a beautiful space that it was joy to just simply be. One forgets to just breathe but it's so important and I'd forgotten that. LOVED the yoga part! Haven't done yoga for years and boy did I feel it but gentle guidance helped, so thank you. Hoping to do the beginner yoga course in November. Sarah (email) Thank you Mandy and Robert for most rewarding, healing and relaxing day. You provided both physical and spiritual retreat of such high quality that I have never experienced before. Your provision of delicious lunch and morning tea topped the cake. Debbie (email) I love this place! It is a perfect venue for yoga - turning off the highway and heading down the rural road starts the process. When time you reach the centre itself, you are already calmer. The building is glorious and perfectly designed for yoga. All teachers I have had are excellent, from kids to advanced classes. Surprisingly affordable and yogic in it's business model. Highly recommended. Jenni (google) Thank you so much for organising the retreat and hiking weekend in the Porongorups. It was great to get out of life's groove and mix with like-minded people. I have wanted to climb Bluff Knoll for a long time and it was good to have finally done it! I really enjoyed the yoga sessions and Raje and Scott's music in the evenings was a beautiful way to end each evening. Ann (email) This was my first time going on a yoga retreat and I am glad the first experience was with Kookaburra Creek! From the time of booking through to the final farewell in the last day it has been as I needed. The combination and choices of activity was well selected. The location was absolutely beautiful and being off-grid allowed all of us to connect with one another instead of being chained to technology. I've been practicing yoga on and off for a few years but I've never experience a more peaceful space and gentle guidance.I am looking forward to attending future retreats. Min (email) Loved my time with you guys. Def a pivotal time in my life and the carriage was the perfect place. I miss the kookaburras giving voice early morn and late evening. The peace and quiet and time for contemplation. Good luck with your AirB&B plans. Love to all. Col (facebook) So relaxed after meditation I could hardly roll up my yoga mat! Kookaburra Creek is just THE loveliest place to practice Yoga and Meditation. Thank you both for your commitment to the practices and for creating such a beautiful space for us all to enjoy while we learn and grow. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Patricia (email) The only time I'm not in constant pain is after my Yoga at Kookaburra. Thank you Debbie (facebook) My first time ever at a Yoga class! The whole experience left me feeling at one with nature and at peace with myself. From the moment we arrived and were greeted with a warm welcome, I felt at ease and ready to embrace "The now" I have discovered a new love! Julie (facebook) I think I found my little piece of heaven just 10 mins away from home! I can't believe it! Mandy was great and so welcoming on my first session. I'll definitely be back and hopefully drag the husband along!!! Joyce (facebook) Having intended to venture to Kookaburra for some time I finally made it for a day long retreat...WOW! what an amazing shala with equally inspirational teachers. Keep this place+events on you radar they are a soul nourishing tribe. Tammy (facebook) I love this yoga centre. Beautiful bush setting, authentic teachings, and the yoga room has a lovely energy. The teachers share their knowledge openly and are an inspiration. They have learnt from the best. I just wish they were not so far from Freo. Leighann (facebook) Beautiful enviroment and positive vibes, great energy, uplifting the room & helpful tips will be back again Vicky (facebook)
